New Build Snagging Inspections

What is a "Snag"?

First of all, what is a ‘Snag’? A snag is classed as a minor defect or small problem that has been left behind once all the building work is completed. This can be something that is broken, cracked, scratched, dented or damaged in some way. It can also be an item that has been poorly installed or work that is simply unfinished or missing completely.

Why Use a Professional Snagging Company?

The simple answer is, peace of mind. At Snag Daddy, our team of expert snaggers have a wealth of knowledge and their fingers on the pulse when it comes to New Build Homes. We hold regular meetings where we discuss any changes in building regulations and new standards of best practice, this ensures that our team is completely up to date with the latest information that can save our customers a fortune down the line.

What Happens in a Snagging Inspection?

So, what does a snagging survey involve? In a nutshell, we carry out a Snagging inspection on every aspect of your New Build home, inside and out. You will receive a detailed report with photographic evidence of all the Snags found in your New build home within 48 hours of the inspection being carried out.

This detailed Snagging inspection gives the power back to you. Don’t allow yourself to be forced into ‘completing’ (this is a term used by the sales team that you will hear throughout the buying process. The term ‘completing’ means the day you have paid the deposit and you are officially buying the house) by a certain date if you aren’t 100% sure that your New Build Home is up to standard.

Complete Peace of Mind

Armed with our Snagging inspection, you can now request that all the snags detailed in the report are fixed, prior to you ‘completing’.

By choosing our team to complete your snagging inspection, you are securing yourself peace of mind, as well as giving yourself a snag free home, which will prevent any future disruptions to you and your family.

Snag DaddyExcellentSnag Daddy5.0 Based on 5 reviews fromSee all reviews review us onSarah DykesSarah Dykes ★★★★★ Requested a full snagging report a couple of days after moving into a new build. Within 48 hrs snagdaddy had attended and a further 48 hrs provided a 190 point snagging list. There was no way we would have picked up 95% of them. I was focused on a couple of major irritants. I have a meeting with the builder later and I can’t wait to produce the report ( each item clearly defined with a colour photo highlighting exact issue ). I know I have a journey to get things fixed but I have a professional document , identifying NHBC standards. It will get done ! Thank you and highly recommend.Jason NilssonJason Nilsson ★★★★★ We are first time buyers, so naturally we were anxious about our New Build property. Abigail was able to work with us and rearrange our Snag date. Craig arrived on time and was very helpful.
